Description
Norbac Tools Core Drills are basically drills with three or four flutes. They are used for enlarging or straightening previously drilled or cast holes. Our tools are custom built offering many features not found in a standard 'off-the-shelf' mass produced tool.

Applications
Norbac Tools Core Drills provide better hole size control and surface finish than regular drills because of the additional cutting edges. The three or four lands give better guiding support. The tools are built with a heavier web making the entire construction more rigid. Compared to normal drills heavier feed rates are normally used. All our core drills are designed to meet specific requirements with the appropriate number of flutes, spiral angles and end sharpening, overall lengths and shank styles etc. The tools can be built in the appropriate grade materials to suit the application.

Limitations
Core drills are not designed to drill holes from solid (except for shallow spotfacing applications).
